It gives companies access to capital to grow their business, and investors a piece of ownership in a company with the potential to realize gains in their investment based on the company's future performance

How to Buy Securities?

You have to contact a stockbroker. You have to open an account. The following information are required:

  1. Two pass port size photographs
  2. Copy of national identity card or passport

You will be requested to fill in some forms.

Can I Buy Shares Directly from the Stock Exchange?

No. You need to go through a registered stockbroker. This is a legal requirement. CDH Capital is a registered broker in Rwanda .

What are the Costs of Buying / Selling securities?

For each Equity transaction (a buy or sell is a transaction), a commission of not more than 1.71 % is charged on the total value of the transaction

On bond market, the charges are 0.049% of the total value of the transaction.
